Here's the simple version: your medicine, choline magnesium trisalicylate, is already a salicylate, meaning it's in the same family as aspirin. Meadowsweet naturally contains salicin, a plant salicylate. So if you take both together, you're essentially stacking two salicylate sources on top of each other, which could add up to a higher total dose than you intend.

What might that look like? More of the usual salicylate side effects, like stomach upset, heartburn, ringing in the ears, or in larger amounts, easier bruising or bleeding. To be fair, this concern is theoretical and based on how the chemistry lines up, not on strong human studies. Still, since you're already on a prescription salicylate, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding meadowsweet.
