ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Aspirin, Pentazocine
Aspirin, Pentazocine falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Nattokinase interacts with.
Nattokinase has thrombolytic and anticoagulant effects. There is a case report of intracranial hemorrhage in a patient who added nattokinase to aspirin therapy.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Talwin Compound contains aspirin, which is a blood thinner that works by making your platelets less sticky. Nattokinase has its own mild clot-busting and blood-thinning action. When you stack the two together, those effects can add up, and that means a higher chance of bleeding or bruising.
In real life, this could show up as easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, dark or bloody stools, or bleeding that takes longer to stop. There's even a case report of a serious brain bleed in someone who combined nattokinase with aspirin. To be fair, the lab evidence here is on the weaker side, but bleeding is nothing to gamble with. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding nattokinase.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Pentazocine page
“Talwin Compound pairs pentazocine, an opioid painkiller, with aspirin, and I read its supplement list with more concern than most. The great majority of entries do one of two things: raise the bleeding risk that aspirin already carries, or deepen the sedation pentazocine causes.”

About Nattokinase
What is Nattokinase?
- Heart and circulatory health
- Blood clot prevention
- High blood pressure
- Improving blood flow
- Cholesterol support
Nattokinase is an enzyme from the fermented soybean food natto that may have mild blood-thinning and blood-flow effects. Some small studies hint at benefits for blood pressure and circulation, but the evidence is limited and more research is needed. Because it can affect clotting, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before trying it, especially if you take medicines or have a bleeding risk.
