Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine, Orphenadrine
Aspirin, Caffeine, Orphenadrine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Nutmeg interacts with.
Animal research suggests that intraperitoneal injections of myristicin, a constituent of nutmeg, can induce CYP1A2.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the piece that matters in this combo pill: the caffeine part is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In animal studies, a nutmeg compound called myristicin seemed to speed that enzyme up, which could in theory make your body clear caffeine a little faster. Practically, that might mean the caffeine feels slightly less potent or wears off sooner. Neither aspirin nor orphenadrine relies much on this enzyme, so they aren't the concern here.
I want to be honest that this is theoretical and based only on animal research, so it's not something I'd lose sleep over. Normal cooking amounts of nutmeg are very unlikely to matter, and high doses of nutmeg aren't safe anyway. If you have questions, your pharmacist can walk through it with you.

About Nutmeg
What is Nutmeg?
- Digestive upset
- Diarrhea
- Sleep and relaxation
- Pain and inflammation
- Flavoring spice
Nutmeg is a popular cooking spice that has long been used in traditional medicine for digestion and other complaints, but there is little solid human research to support its medicinal use. In normal cooking amounts it is generally safe, but larger "medicinal" doses can cause serious poisoning, so it should never be taken in high amounts.
