Celiprolol falls under BETA-BLOCKERS — the group Octacosanol interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of octacosanol with beta-blockers might result in additive hypotensive effects.
Octacosanol is the main component of policosanol. Clinical research shows that policosanol 5 mg daily can have additive blood pressure-lowering effects in patients with hypertension who are taking beta-blockers. Also, animal research shows that policosanol can increase the hypotensive effects of propranolol. It is not clear if these effects occur with the use of octacosanol.

Celiprolol is a beta-blocker that helps lower blood pressure and ease the heart's workload. Octacosanol is the main piece of policosanol, and in one good-quality study, policosanol added to the blood pressure-lowering effect of beta-blockers. So the real concern here is simple addition: taking both together could push your blood pressure a little lower than celiprolol alone.

If that happens, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or shaky when you stand up quickly. Keep in mind this is mostly seen with policosanol, and it's not fully proven that octacosanol itself does the same. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if your pressure already runs low.
