Here's the simple version: both phenpromethamine and phenylpropanolamine are stimulant-type compounds that squeeze blood vessels and rev up your system. Stacking two of these together can pile on the effects, so the worry is mostly about your heart and blood pressure. You could see a racing or pounding heartbeat, a noticeable jump in blood pressure, headache, jitteriness, or trouble sleeping.

To be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on how these drugs work, not on strong studies, so I don't want to alarm you. But phenpromethamine is an unapproved ingredient sometimes hidden in weight-loss or sports products, and phenylpropanolamine itself was pulled from many U.S. shelves over stroke risk. Please don't combine them, and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
