Here's the simple version: Pemoline is itself a stimulant that revs up your central nervous system, and phenpromethamine is an amphetamine-like stimulant that has been slipped illegally into some sports and weight-loss products. When you stack two stimulants together, their effects can pile on top of each other. With Pemoline, that could mean a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or feeling wired and anxious.

I want to be honest about the evidence: this concern is theoretical, based on how these drugs work rather than hard studies. Still, doubling up on stimulants is a real-world cardiovascular worry. The bigger issue is that phenpromethamine shouldn't be in any supplement at all. Please avoid products listing it, and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining anything with Pemoline.
