Metformin, Linagliptin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Phlorizin interacts with.

Phlorizin is a potent, nonselective inhibitor of SGLT1 and SGLT2. It has been shown to reduce blood glucose levels in animal research. Theoretically, phlorizin might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs and increase the risk of hypoglycemia. However, the likelihood of this effect is unclear due to the poor bioavailability and rapid degradation of phlorizin. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.
Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the simple version: Jentadueto combines metformin and linagliptin, two medicines that already work to bring your blood sugar down. Phlorizin blocks the sugar transporters in your gut and kidneys, which pushes more sugar out in your urine, another way of lowering blood sugar. Stack those together and you could, in theory, drift too low.

This concern is theoretical only. It's based on lab and animal research, and phlorizin is poorly absorbed and breaks down fast when swallowed, so real-world risk is unclear. Still, if you'd be combining them, watch for low blood sugar signs like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or confusion. Check your readings and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before adding any phlorizin product.
