Buproprion, Dextromethorphan falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Resveratrol interacts with.

Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, clinical research shows that taking resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks does not necessitate dose adjustments to medications metabolized by CYP3A4.

Auvelity combines bupropion and dextromethorphan, and it's actually a clever pairing. The bupropion part is there partly to block an enzyme (CYP2D6) so the dextromethorphan sticks around longer and reaches the brain. Both ingredients also pass through the CYP3A4 enzyme to some degree. The concern with resveratrol is that, in lab dish studies, it can slow down CYP3A4. If that happened in your body, levels of these drugs could drift upward, which might mean more jitteriness, insomnia, dizziness, dry mouth, or nausea.

Here's the reassuring part: this is mostly a theoretical worry from test-tube work. In actual human studies, even high doses of resveratrol didn't force dose changes for CYP3A4 medicines. Still, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor before adding it.
