Ozanimod Hydrochloride falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Rice Bran Arabinoxylan Compound interacts with.

Theoretically, rice bran arabinoxylan compound might interfere with immunosuppressants by stimulating the immune system. In laboratory and human research, rice bran arabinoxylan compound has been shown to stimulate the activity of immune cells.
Some immunosuppressants include azathioprine (Imuran), basiliximab (Simulect), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), daclizumab (Zenapax), muromonab-CD3 (OKT3, Orthoclone OKT3), mycophenolate (CellCept), tacrolimus (FK506, Prograf), sirolimus (Rapamune), prednisone (Deltasone, Orasone), corticosteroids (glucocorticoids), and others.

Here's the thinking behind this one. Zeposia (ozanimod) works by quieting down part of your immune system to calm the inflammation that drives MS relapses or ulcerative colitis flares. Rice Bran Arabinoxylan Compound is marketed to do the opposite, to rev up immune cell activity. So in theory, the supplement could push against what your medication is trying to accomplish, possibly making it less effective.

I want to be honest that this is a theoretical concern, based on how the supplement behaves in lab and small human studies, not on real cases of it weakening Zeposia. We don't have solid proof it actually causes a flare-up. Still, since you're on a medication that depends on keeping the immune system in check, it's worth a quick chat with your neurologist, GI doctor, or pharmacist before adding this product.

Zeposia (ozanimod) is approved for adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) — including clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting MS, and active secondary progressive MS.

Zeposia is also approved for adults with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC), a chronic inflammatory bowel disease.
