Aripiprazole falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Rue interacts with.

Theoretically, rue might increase the risk for phototoxicity when used with photosensitizing drugs.
Rue contains photosensitizing furanocoumarins and psoralens and has been associated with multiple reports of phototoxic reactions. There is also one case report of an increased phototoxic response to psoralen and ultraviolet A (PUVA) therapy associated with ingestion of rue.

Here's the thing to know about pairing rue with aripiprazole (Abilify): this isn't about rue changing how your body processes the medication or how well it works. Rue carries natural compounds called furanocoumarins and psoralens that can make your skin much more sensitive to sunlight. Aripiprazole already carries a small tendency to do the same, so stacking the two could, in theory, raise your odds of a stronger sunburn-type reaction, even after fairly normal sun exposure.

I'll be honest, this connection is mostly theoretical and rests on a few anecdotal reports, not solid studies. Still, it's easy to play it safe with sunscreen, a hat, and covering up outdoors. If you're using rue and taking aripiprazole, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
