Aripiprazole Lauroxil falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Rue interacts with.

Theoretically, rue might increase the risk for phototoxicity when used with photosensitizing drugs.
Rue contains photosensitizing furanocoumarins and psoralens and has been associated with multiple reports of phototoxic reactions. There is also one case report of an increased phototoxic response to psoralen and ultraviolet A (PUVA) therapy associated with ingestion of rue.

Here's the simple version: this isn't about rue changing how your Aristada injection works in your bloodstream. Instead, both rue and aripiprazole can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Rue carries plant compounds called furanocoumarins and psoralens, which are well known for triggering sunburn-like reactions, and certain antipsychotics like aripiprazole can add to that sun sensitivity.

Put them together and you may burn faster or react more strongly to sun and UV exposure, with redness, blistering, or rash on exposed skin. To be fair, this is mostly theoretical and based on scattered case reports, so it's a caution rather than a high alarm. Still, if you use rue, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor and be smart about sunscreen and sun protection.
