Oseni combines two diabetes medicines: alogliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor) and pioglitazone (a glitazone). Both work to lower your blood sugar, and neither is a prodrug here, so we don't have to worry about flipping the direction. The concern with rutin is simply additive: animal studies hint that rutin itself may nudge blood sugar down a little, so stacking it on top of Oseni could, in theory, push your numbers lower than intended.

To be honest, this is very preliminary evidence, based only on lab and animal research, not people. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but it's worth knowing the signs of low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion). If you want to add rutin, check with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your readings.
