Your combo pill, hydrochlorothiazide with spironolactone, lowers blood pressure by helping your body shed extra fluid and salt. The thought here is that sea buckthorn may gently nudge blood pressure down too. If you stack the two, those small effects could add up and push your pressure a little lower than intended.

If that happens, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy when you stand up, tired, or a bit foggy. I'll be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on how these work, not something proven in studies. Eating sea buckthorn berries in food amounts is unlikely to matter. With concentrated supplements, just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up and keep an eye on your numbers at home.
