Here's the good news about bromfenac eye drops (Prolensa, Bromsite): they go directly into your eye, and very little gets into your bloodstream. So the worry about serrapeptase thinning your blood and adding to an NSAID's bleeding risk is really minimal with this particular product.

That said, all NSAIDs (even eye drops) can slightly affect how blood clots, and serrapeptase is theoretically thought to nudge things in the same direction. This concern comes only from lab studies, not real patient cases, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The most realistic thing to watch for after cataract surgery is any unusual redness, bleeding, or slow healing in the treated eye. If you notice that, or you take other blood thinners, please give your pharmacist or eye doctor a quick call before combining them.
