ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Magnesium Hydroxide
Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Magnesium Hydroxide falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Summer Savory interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This product (Ascriptin) is aspirin combined with two antacids, and the part that matters here is the aspirin. Aspirin already works by making your platelets less sticky, which is how it thins the blood and helps prevent clots. Summer savory contains plant compounds (like carvacrol and thymol) that, in lab dish studies, seem to do the same thing. So in theory, taking concentrated savory extracts alongside aspirin could add up and nudge your bleeding risk a little higher.
What that might look like: easier bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or stomach upset and bleeding. I want to be honest though, this is theoretical and based only on lab work, not real patients. Normal cooking amounts of savory are very unlikely to matter. If you use savory oil or capsules, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Magnesium Hydroxide page
“Ascriptin combines aspirin with two antacids, aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, and the aspirin part already thins the blood on its own. That is why more than 200 of the 255 ingredients listed here can raise bleeding risk, and why this page deserves a careful read rather than a quick skim.”

- Seasoning/culinary use
Summer savory is a common kitchen herb that has long been used as a tea or remedy for digestive complaints and minor infections. Talk with a pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated extracts or the essential oil.
About Aspirin
What Is Aspirin Used For?
Brand name: Ascriptin
Aspirin is used to temporarily relieve minor aches and pains from headaches, backaches, muscle aches, toothaches, menstrual cramps, the common cold, and minor arthritis pain. It also temporarily reduces fever.
Some coated aspirin tablet products note that, under a doctor's supervision, aspirin can help prevent another heart attack or stroke in adults who have already had one. Because of their delayed-release design, those coated products will not give fast relief for headaches or other symptoms needing quick relief.
