Taurine + Pindolol
Pindolol brand names: Visken, Pindol.
Taurine has a moderate interaction with Pindolol. Theoretically, taurine might increase the risk of hypotension when taken with antihypertensive drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Pindolol
Pindolol falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Taurine interacts with.
Some clinical evidence suggests that taurine can reduce both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: Pindolol already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels and easing your heart rate. Taurine, the amino acid found in many energy drinks and sports supplements, appears in some studies to nudge blood pressure down a little on its own. So when you combine the two, the worry is that their effects could stack and push your numbers too low.
If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or a bit faint, especially when standing up quickly. This is a theoretical concern based on how both work, not something strongly proven, and an occasional energy drink is unlikely to matter much. Still, before taking taurine regularly, check with your pharmacist or doctor, and keep an eye on your blood pressure at home.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Pindolol page
“People prescribed pindolol (Visken), a beta-blocker, are usually treating high blood pressure, and they are often the very people drawn to heart-friendly supplements like fish oil. That overlap is why this list of 183 ingredients deserves genuine care, starting with the five rated major.”

Pindolol Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Pindolol as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Taurine — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
