Taurine + Indapamide
Indapamide brand names: Lozol, Lozide.
Taurine has a moderate interaction with Indapamide. Theoretically, taurine might increase the risk of hypotension when taken with antihypertensive drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Indapamide
Indapamide falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Taurine interacts with.
Some clinical evidence suggests that taurine can reduce both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the gist: Indapamide is a water pill that already nudges your blood pressure down. Taurine, on its own, may also lower blood pressure a little. So when you pair the two, the worry is simply that they could add up and push your numbers lower than intended. This isn't about taurine changing how your body breaks down indapamide. It's just two things gently pulling in the same direction.
If your pressure dips too far, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or a bit woozy when you stand up. I'll be honest though, this concern is mostly theoretical, based on how these work rather than strong studies. The occasional energy drink likely won't matter much, but regular taurine supplements are worth running past your doctor or pharmacist first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Indapamide page
“A water pill like indapamide (Lozol) lowers blood pressure and pulls potassium down, and most of the 215 supplements and herbs on file press on those same levers. Thirteen entries rate major, so this is a list to read with real care rather than skim.”

About Taurine
What is Taurine?
- Exercise performance and endurance
- Heart health
- Energy support
- Eye and nerve health
- Blood sugar support
Taurine is an amino acid your body makes naturally and that you also get from animal foods. It is widely used in energy drinks and sports supplements, and short-term use appears generally safe for most adults, though the evidence for many claimed benefits is mixed or limited. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before taking it regularly, especially if you have a health condition or take medications.
About Indapamide
What Is Indapamide Used For?
Brand names: Lozol, Lozide
Indapamide tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either on their own or together with other blood pressure medications. Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of related complications.
Indapamide tablets are also used to treat salt and fluid retention (edema) associated with congestive heart failure. In certain cases, indapamide may also be appropriate during pregnancy when swelling is caused by a medical condition rather than normal pregnancy changes — but routine use in otherwise healthy pregnant women is not recommended.
