Indapamide falls under THIAZIDE DIURETICS — the group Dolomite interacts with.

Taking thiazides with dolomite might increase the risk of hypercalcemia and kidney failure.
Dolomite contains calcium, and thiazides reduce calcium excretion by the kidneys. Using thiazides along with moderately large amounts of dolomite increases the risk of milk-alkali syndrome (hypercalcemia, metabolic alkalosis, kidney failure).

Here's the concern with this pairing. Indapamide is a water pill that tells your kidneys to hold onto calcium rather than flush it out. Dolomite, on the other hand, adds a fair amount of calcium to your system. Put the two together, especially if you're taking generous supplement doses of dolomite, and calcium can climb higher than it should. That raises the risk of hypercalcemia and, in more serious cases, a condition called milk-alkali syndrome that can stress the kidneys.

Watch for things like nausea, constipation, unusual tiredness, confusion, or feeling weak. This isn't from a tiny bit of calcium in food, it's the concentrated dolomite that matters. Please don't change anything on your own. Check with your pharmacist or doctor, who may suggest a safer, cleaner calcium product instead of dolomite.

What Is Indapamide Used For?

Brand names: Lozol, Lozide

Indapamide tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either on their own or together with other blood pressure medications. Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of related complications.

Indapamide tablets are also used to treat salt and fluid retention (edema) associated with congestive heart failure. In certain cases, indapamide may also be appropriate during pregnancy when swelling is caused by a medical condition rather than normal pregnancy changes — but routine use in otherwise healthy pregnant women is not recommended.
