Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
TETRACYCLINE ANTIBIOTICS
Why this applies to Omadacycline (IV)
Omadacycline (IV) falls under TETRACYCLINE ANTIBIOTICS — the group Dolomite interacts with.
Dolomite contains calcium and magnesium, which can bind to tetracyclines in the gut. To avoid this interaction, advise patients to take oral tetracyclines at least 2 hours before or 4-6 hours after dolomite.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the good news for your situation: you're asking about the IV (intravenous) form of omadacycline. The concern with dolomite is that its calcium and magnesium can grab onto tetracycline-type antibiotics in your stomach and gut, blocking them from being absorbed. That binding problem only happens with pills you swallow. Since IV omadacycline goes straight into your bloodstream, it never meets the dolomite in your digestive tract, so this particular interaction essentially doesn't apply to the injection.
This caution is mostly theoretical and aimed at oral tetracyclines. If you ever switch to an omadacycline tablet, you'd want to separate it from dolomite by several hours. To be safe, just confirm your full supplement list with your pharmacist or doctor.

“Omadacycline (Nuzyra) is a tetracycline antibiotic given by IV drip for serious pneumonia and skin infections, and its interaction list earns real vigilance. About Dolomite
What is Dolomite?
- Source of calcium
- Source of magnesium
- Bone health support
- Antacid for heartburn
- Mineral supplementation
Dolomite is a natural mineral that provides both calcium and magnesium.
