Fosinopril, Hydrochlorothiazide falls under THIAZIDE DIURETICS — the group Dolomite interacts with.

Taking thiazides with dolomite might increase the risk of hypercalcemia and kidney failure.
Dolomite contains calcium, and thiazides reduce calcium excretion by the kidneys. Using thiazides along with moderately large amounts of dolomite increases the risk of milk-alkali syndrome (hypercalcemia, metabolic alkalosis, kidney failure).

Here's the thing to know about your Monopril HCT: that 'HCT' part is hydrochlorothiazide, a water pill. Thiazide diuretics like this one actually tell your kidneys to hold onto calcium instead of flushing it out. So when you add dolomite, which is loaded with calcium, you can stack up too much calcium in your blood. In larger doses this combo raises the risk of what's called milk-alkali syndrome, with high blood calcium and even strain on your kidneys.

Warning signs of too much calcium include nausea, constipation, feeling unusually tired or confused, and increased thirst or urination. The fosinopril side mainly affects blood pressure and isn't the concern here. Please don't start dolomite without checking with your pharmacist or doctor first, especially since safer, cleaner calcium products exist (dolomite can carry lead and other heavy metals).
