Clinafloxacin falls under QUINOLONE ANTIBIOTICS — the group Dolomite interacts with.

Theoretically, the magnesium in dolomite might decrease the absorption of quinolone antibiotics.
Dolomite contains magnesium, which can form insoluble complexes with quinolones in the gut. Advise patients to take oral quinolones at least 2 hours before or 4-6 hours after dolomite.

Here's the gist: clinafloxacin is one of the fluoroquinolone antibiotics, and these drugs don't mix well with minerals like the calcium and magnesium found in dolomite. When they meet in your stomach and gut, they can clump together into a form your body can't absorb well. The worry isn't that clinafloxacin becomes more dangerous, it's that too little of it gets absorbed, so your infection may not clear the way it should.

This is based on how these drugs behave (it's a well-known pattern with quinolones), even if it hasn't been studied directly for clinafloxacin. The simple fix is spacing them out: take your antibiotic at least 2 hours before, or 4 to 6 hours after dolomite. Honestly, given dolomite can contain lead and other heavy metals, I'd ask your pharmacist about a safer calcium or magnesium option too.
