Hydrochlorothiazide, Labetalol falls under THIAZIDE DIURETICS — the group Dolomite interacts with.

Taking thiazides with dolomite might increase the risk of hypercalcemia and kidney failure.
Dolomite contains calcium, and thiazides reduce calcium excretion by the kidneys. Using thiazides along with moderately large amounts of dolomite increases the risk of milk-alkali syndrome (hypercalcemia, metabolic alkalosis, kidney failure).

Here's the thing to watch with your blood pressure pill: it's a combination of hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) and labetalol. The hydrochlorothiazide part tells your kidneys to hold onto calcium instead of flushing it out. Dolomite is loaded with calcium, so pairing the two can let calcium climb too high in your blood.

If you take more than small amounts of dolomite alongside this medicine, calcium can build up enough to cause what's called milk-alkali syndrome (high calcium, an acid imbalance, and even kidney strain). Early signs can be nausea, constipation, feeling tired or confused, and increased thirst or urination. Honestly, dolomite isn't a great choice anyway since it can carry lead and other metals. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, or ask about a safer calcium option.
