Alginic Acid, Aluminum Hydroxide falls under ALUMINUM — the group Vitamin D interacts with.

Vitamin D might increase aluminum absorption and toxicity, but this has only been reported in people with renal failure.
The protein that transports calcium across the intestinal wall can also bind and transport aluminum. This protein is stimulated by vitamin D, which may therefore increase aluminum absorption. This mechanism may contribute to increased aluminum levels and toxicity in people with renal failure, when they take vitamin D and aluminum-containing phosphate binders chronically.

Here's the gist for Rafton, which contains aluminum. Vitamin D switches on the same intestinal protein your gut uses to carry calcium, and that protein can grab aluminum too. So in theory, taking vitamin D could nudge your body to absorb a bit more aluminum from this antacid. For most healthy people taking Rafton now and then for heartburn, this is not a real worry.

The exception is people with kidney problems. If your kidneys aren't clearing things well and you take an aluminum product regularly, aluminum can build up and cause harm. That's the only setting where this has actually been reported. If you have reduced kidney function or use aluminum antacids daily, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them with vitamin D.
