Ephedrine, Hydroxyzine, Theophylline falls under THEOPHYLLINE — the group White Pepper interacts with.

Theoretically, white pepper might increase levels of theophylline. In humans, the piperine constituent of white pepper seems to increase absorption and slow elimination of theophylline.

This combination product contains theophylline, which is the ingredient that matters here. Piperine, the spicy compound in white pepper, may help your body absorb theophylline a bit more and clear it a bit slower. In plain terms, that could nudge theophylline levels up. Theophylline has a narrow safety window, so even modest increases can lead to things like jitteriness, a racing heart, nausea, trouble sleeping, or tremor.

Keep in mind this is theoretical, based mostly on lab and animal data, not strong human studies. Normal cooking amounts of pepper are very unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated piperine or black pepper supplements are the bigger concern. Before adding any pepper supplement, check with your pharmacist or doctor.
