Insulin Lispro falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group White Pepper interacts with.

Evidence from animal research suggests that piperine, a constituent of white pepper, reduces blood glucose levels. Theoretically, white pepper might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs and increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.
Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the simple version: insulin lispro (Admelog) is a fast-acting insulin that already lowers your blood sugar. Animal studies hint that piperine, the spicy compound in white pepper, might also nudge blood sugar down a little. If both work in the same direction, in theory they could stack and push your sugar too low. With a fast insulin, a low can show up as shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling lightheaded.

The good news: this is a theory based on lab and animal work, not proven in people, and the white pepper you sprinkle on food is very unlikely to matter. If you're thinking about a concentrated piperine supplement, check your sugars closely at first and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Brand names: Admelog, Admelog Solostar

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
