Phenacemide (Phenurone) is an older seizure medicine, and the whole point of taking it is to keep seizures from happening. Here's the concern with wormwood: it contains a compound called thujone, which in larger amounts can actually trigger seizures. So instead of helping, wormwood may push against what your medication is trying to do and make seizures more likely to break through.

I want to be straight with you though, this caution is based on lab and animal findings, not solid human studies, so it's more theoretical than proven. Still, with a drug like phenacemide that controls something as serious as seizures, I'd play it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding wormwood rather than starting it on your own.
