Capmatinib Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Zedoary interacts with.

Theoretically, zedoary might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In-vitro research shows that a methanol extract of zedoary strongly inhibits the CYP3A4 metabolism of the tyrosine kinase inhibitors lapatinib and sorafenib, and to a lesser extent, gefitinib.

Here's the gist for Tabrecta (capmatinib): your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to break this medicine down. Lab studies suggest zedoary may slow that same enzyme. If that happens in real life, capmatinib could clear out more slowly and build up in your blood, which can mean stronger effects and a higher chance of side effects like nausea, swelling in the hands or legs, tiredness, or changes in liver lab tests.

I want to be straight with you, though: this is a theoretical concern based mostly on test-tube work, not on people taking these together. Capmatinib is an active drug (not a prodrug), so the direction would be more drug, not less. Since this is serious cancer therapy, please check with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding zedoary.

Tabrecta (capmatinib) is used to treat adults with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) — lung cancer that has spread — whose tumors carry a specific genetic change called a MET exon 14 skipping mutation. A patient must test positive for this mutation using an FDA-approved test before starting treatment.

This is a targeted therapy, meaning it works against tumors with this particular genetic driver rather than all lung cancers.
