What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking ABC Australian Gummy Snakes against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This powder has 6 active ingredients. L-Glutamine supports muscle recovery and is effective for sickle cell disease and possibly helpful for HIV/AIDS-related wasting and recovery after surgery or critical illness.
The product also contains three branched-chain amino acids—L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine—which work together to support muscle protein synthesis. CarnoSyn is a patented form of beta-alanine that may help with athletic and physical performance.
Citrulline Malate rounds out the formula. The inactive ingredients are natural and artificial flavors, malic acid, citric acid, sucralose, and acesulfame-K.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
L-Glutamine is effective for sickle cell disease and possibly effective for HIV/AIDS-related wasting, postoperative recovery, and critical illness from trauma. Beta-alanine (CarnoSyn) is possibly effective for athletic performance and physical performance, though the evidence for cognitive decline, COPD, cognitive function, and menopausal symptoms isn't established.
We don't hold effectiveness data on L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine, or Citrulline Malate.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
L-Glutamine is generally well tolerated in healthy adults and rated likely safe in pregnancy and lactation. However, people with kidney or liver disease should use it only under medical supervision, and supplemental doses shouldn't be taken while breastfeeding unless your doctor recommends it.
The most common side effects with oral glutamine are belching, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, and gastrointestinal pain; headache and musculoskeletal pain have also been reported. Beta-alanine (CarnoSyn) is generally well tolerated but commonly causes a harmless tingling sensation (paresthesia) in the skin and flushing, usually starting on the scalp within 20 minutes and lasting about an hour.
It's not studied for long-term high doses. There isn't enough safety information to recommend beta-alanine in pregnancy or while breastfeeding, so it's best to avoid it during those times.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take anticonvulsant medications (drugs to prevent seizures), talk to your pharmacist before starting—glutamine may theoretically interfere with how they work. For all other prescription medications you take, check them with the tool on this page to be sure.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product is aimed at people looking to support muscle performance and recovery. If you take an anticonvulsant medication, check with your pharmacist first.
Pregnant or breastfeeding people should talk to their doctor or pharmacist about whether this product is right for them, since beta-alanine isn't studied in those situations.
