What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product is African Mango Seed Extract—one active ingredient. There are no inactive ingredients listed.
You're getting the extract itself in powder form.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for what this extract actually does isn't established yet. We hold insufficient reliable evidence to rate it for diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, or metabolic syndrome.
That doesn't mean it doesn't work; it means we don't have enough solid human research to say either way.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Short-term, African Mango Extract is generally well tolerated in studies. The most common side effects are flatulence, headache, insomnia, and nausea.
One case of acute liver inflammation (hepatitis) has been reported after ten days of use, though this is very rare. Long-term safety isn't well established, and product quality can vary.
The safety data advises against this extract during pregnancy. There isn't enough information to know whether it's safe while breastfeeding, so you should talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using it if you're pregnant or nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your exact medications against our tool below if you take antidiabetes drugs (Moderate severity) or testosterone products (Moderate severity). These are the two drug types with documented interactions.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
If you're taking any diabetes medication or testosterone products, you need to check with your pharmacist before starting this. The extract does lower blood sugar and may raise testosterone, which changes how those drugs work.
Long-term safety data is thin, and one liver issue has been reported, so this isn't a supplement to take lightly.
