One important caution: because this is a live probiotic product, there's a theoretical risk of serious infection (bacteremia or sepsis) in people who are severely ill, have a weakened immune system, have indwelling catheters, or are premature infants. Suggested Use: Adults take 1 to 3 caps before a meal three times daily as a Probiotic Dietary Supplement*. Reducing the amount to a maintenance level of 2 caps daily. Capsules may be opened and added to food. Children receive 1/2 or less of the adult amount.

Theoretically, taking antibiotics with Bacillus coagulans might decrease the effectiveness of B. coagulans.
B. coagulans preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. coagulans preparations by at least two hours.
