Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ-10), at 30 mg per chewable tablet. CoQ-10 is a compound your body naturally makes and uses to produce energy in your cells.
It also acts as an antioxidant, helping protect cells from damage. The remaining ingredients — xylitol, gamma-cyclodextrin, orange flavor, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, and polydextrose — are inactive ingredients that give the tablet its form and taste.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for CoQ-10 varies by use. It's rated likely effective for treating CoQ-10 deficiency itself.
For other conditions — fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, congestive heart failure, and diabetic nerve pain (neuropathy) — the evidence is rated possibly effective, meaning some clinical research supports benefit but more data is needed to be certain. We don't hold effectiveness data for other potential uses beyond those listed.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
CoQ-10 is generally well tolerated by most adults when taken as directed. In clinical studies, no serious side effects have been reported.
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal — things like nausea, diarrhea, heartburn, and appetite suppression — but these occur in less than 1% of people, and dividing daily doses above 100 mg can help minimize them. Headache, dizziness, and insomnia have been reported occasionally; skin itching and allergic rash are rare.
Safety in pregnancy hasn't been well studied, so the data advises caution and recommends talking with your doctor before using during pregnancy. For breastfeeding, safety data is limited, so use caution and check with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before starting, double-check with your pharmacist or doctor if you take warfarin (Coumadin) — a blood thinner where CoQ-10 may reduce effectiveness. Also mention if you're on alkylating chemotherapy drugs or blood pressure medications, as CoQ-10 may affect how these work.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
CoQ-10 is a good option if you're deficient in it or want to explore it for migraine, heart failure, fibromyalgia, or nerve pain — though evidence for those is still building. If you take warfarin or are undergoing chemotherapy, you'll need to run this by your doctor first.
Chat with your pharmacist about your blood pressure medications too.

Chewable CoQ-10 30 mg by Bronson Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Bronson's Chewable CoQ-10 does interact with some medications.
The most serious concern is with warfarin (Coumadin), a blood thinner. CoQ-10 is chemically similar to vitamin K and may reduce warfarin's blood-thinning effects — a handful of cases of decreased warfarin efficacy tied to CoQ-10 have been reported.
If you take warfarin, you'll want to discuss this with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
CoQ-10 may also theoretically interfere with certain chemotherapy drugs, specifically alkylating agents like cyclophosphamide. Because CoQ-10 is an antioxidant, it might protect tumor cells from drugs that work by generating free radicals, which could reduce their effectiveness.
If you're undergoing cancer treatment, check with your oncology team.
On the gentler side, CoQ-10 might add to the effects of blood pressure medications (antihypertensives), since some research shows it can lower blood pressure. This is rated Minor, but it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist if you're on that type of drug.
Although these interactions span 198 individual medications, we've outlined the main drug types above. Use the interaction checker on this page to verify your exact prescriptions before you start.

For each ingredient in Chewable CoQ-10 30 mg with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Coenzyme Q10
Alkylating Agents
Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant effects. Theoretically, this may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals.
Theoretically, antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 might protect tumor cells from chemotherapeutic agents that work by inducing oxidative stress, such as alkylating agents (e.g., cyclophosphamide) and radiation therapy. The clinical importance of this interaction is unknown.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to menaquinone and might have vitamin K-like procoagulant effects, which could decrease the effects of warfarin.
Concomitant use of coenzyme Q10 and warfarin might reduce the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Four cases of decreased warfarin efficacy thought to be due to coenzyme Q10 have been reported. However, there is some preliminary clinical research that suggests coenzyme Q10 might not significantly decrease the effects of warfarin in patients who have a stable INR.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, coenzyme Q10 might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research shows that coenzyme Q10 can significantly lower blood pressure, although other studies have shown conflicting results.
