Enterogenic Intensive I00 contains 11 active ingredients: a proprietary blend of probiotics — the good bacteria your gut can use — split into two groups. The first group includes Bifidobacterium species (bifidum, longum, and infantis), and the second includes Lactobacillus species (casei, paracasei, rhamnosus, salivarius, and acidophilus).
These are live organisms meant to help restore balance to your intestinal flora. The product also includes NutraFlora, a prebiotic (fructo-oligosaccharides or FOS) that acts as food for beneficial bacteria.
The inactive ingredients are plant-derived capsule material, potato starch, magnesium stearate, silica, and ascorbic acid.

The evidence for this product's ingredients is mixed. Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
Bifidobacterium bifidum is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome and respiratory tract infections. For other uses listed — including Alzheimer's disease, generalized anxiety, hay fever, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and athletic performance — the evidence is insufficient to say whether these ingredients work.
The prebiotic ingredient FOS doesn't have solid evidence for osteoporosis, constipation, diabetes, travelers' diarrhea, or cholesterol either.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy people, but caution is warranted if you have a weakened immune system or are seriously ill — talk with your doctor first. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal: bloating, flatulence, abdominal pain, and gas.
These tend to be mild, especially at lower doses. Rare cases of serious bacterial infection (sepsis or bacteremia) have been reported in critically ill or immune-compromised patients, though these are uncommon and haven't been specifically tied to Bifidobacterium bifidum.
For pregnancy, Bifidobacterium bifidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus are rated possibly safe; Bifidobacterium longum and the FOS prebiotic are also rated possibly safe for both pregnancy and lactation. Limited data exist for all of these, so check with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice.
