What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: figwort glycerite liquid extract, a plant-based extract prepared in glycerin. Figwort has been used traditionally in herbal medicine, though solid clinical evidence on its effects in humans is limited.
The product also contains glycerin (the carrier liquid) and strawberry flavor as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
We hold no effectiveness ratings for figwort in our data. That means the evidence for what this ingredient actually does isn't established in the sources we have on file.
If you're considering this product for a specific condition, talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist about whether there's support for that use.
How safe is it?
Some data gaps
Limited safety data exist for figwort, so the guidance here is to use it with care and only short-term. The safety information available is not enough to recommend it during pregnancy or while breastfeeding — the data just isn't there to say it's okay.
If you're pregnant, nursing, or planning to be, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you take diuretics (water pills) or lithium. Figwort may lower your potassium or raise your lithium levels, both of which may need monitoring or dose adjustments.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and some safety-information gaps remain.
Figwort Strawberry Flavor is a single-ingredient herbal extract with a history in traditional medicine, but we have limited evidence on how well it works or how safe it is over time. It does interact with diuretics and lithium, so if you take either of those, check with your doctor or pharmacist first.
For pregnancy and breastfeeding, the safety data aren't clear enough — discuss it with your healthcare provider before starting.

Figwort Strawberry Flavor by TerraVita Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Figwort Strawberry Flavor by TerraVita does interact with medications.
The main concern is with diuretics (water pills) — figwort's diuretic properties may compound the potassium loss that these drugs already cause, raising the risk of low potassium (hypokalemia). If you take a potassium-depleting diuretic, your doctor may need to adjust your potassium supplementation or monitor your levels.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Figwort also interacts with lithium. Because figwort may reduce how your body excretes lithium, it could raise lithium levels in your blood, which may require a dose adjustment.
Altogether, these interactions span 76 individual medications.
Before you start this product, run your exact medications through the checker below — especially any diuretics or lithium. Your doctor or pharmacist can tell you whether it's safe for you to use together.

For each ingredient in Figwort Strawberry Flavor with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Figwort Glycerite Liquid Extract
Diuretic Drugs
Theoretically, overuse of figwort might compound diuretic-induced potassium loss. There is some concern that people taking figwort along with potassium depleting diuretics might have an increased risk for hypokalemia. Initiation of potassium supplementation or an increase in potassium supplement dose may be necessary for some patients. Some diuretics that can deplete potassium include chlorothiazide (Diuril), chlorthalidone (Thalitone), furosemide (Lasix), hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ, Hydrodiuril, Microzide), and others.
Lithium
Figwort is thought to have diuretic properties. Theoretically, due to these potential diuretic effects, figwort might reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium. The dose of lithium might need to be decreased.
