The evidence for this product's individual active components is mixed. Inositol is possibly effective for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), metabolic syndrome, and preterm labor, but the data suggests it's likely ineffective for anxiety, diabetic nerve pain, and depression.
Oleic acid appears possibly effective for high cholesterol and coronary heart disease. How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Inositol is generally well tolerated at common doses, though a small number of people report mild digestive side effects like diarrhea, gas, and nausea. One case report described a person with bipolar disorder who had symptoms of mania after consuming an energy drink containing inositol and other ingredients, but it's unclear whether inositol was responsible.
Choline is well tolerated at normal food amounts; at high doses above 3.5 grams daily, it can cause fishy body odor, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and sweating. Oleic acid is generally recognized as safe when consumed in normal food amounts.
For pregnancy, inositol is rated possibly safe but should only be used under medical supervision since full safety is not established; choline is rated likely safe and is actually important during pregnancy, though supplement doses should follow your doctor's advice. Lactation safety data for inositol isn't complete, and choline needs are higher while breastfeeding — use supplements only under professional guidance.
