LGD Elite Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking LGD Elite against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of LGD Elite by Blackstone Labs
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
LGD Elite contains one active ingredient: ligandrol (also called LGD-4033), a SARM that's designed to bind to androgen receptors in muscle and bone. The capsule also contains inactive ingredients — rice flour, gelatin, magnesium stearate, stearic acid, and silica — which are fillers and binders.
Does it work?
Insufficient evidence
The evidence we hold doesn't establish that ligandrol works reliably for any of the purposes it's marketed for — athletic performance, muscle strength, cachexia (severe muscle wasting), or muscular dystrophy. All of those ratings are insufficient evidence to rate, meaning the published data doesn't support a clear yes or no.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
This is the biggest concern: ligandrol is an unapproved investigational drug, not a legal dietary supplement. Case reports show liver injury linked to its use — the FDA has warned that supplements containing SARMs like ligandrol carry a risk of liver toxicity.
One case involved a 32-year-old who took 10 mg daily for just 2 weeks before developing signs of liver damage. Additionally, early studies show it may lower HDL cholesterol (the protective kind) even at very low doses.
If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, the safety data advises against it completely — hormonal SARMs can harm a developing baby, and it may pass into breast milk.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking LGD Elite, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on any hepatotoxic drugs (drugs that can harm the liver). Ligandrol may add to their liver-damaging effects.
Because ligandrol itself carries a documented risk of liver injury, anyone with liver disease or compromised liver function should avoid it entirely.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with insufficient evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Ligandrol is an unapproved investigational drug with documented cases of liver injury tied to its use. The evidence doesn't show it works reliably for the conditions it's marketed for.
If you're considering taking it, talk honestly with your doctor or pharmacist first — especially if you have any liver concerns or take other medications that affect the liver.
