PB 12/30 Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking PB 12/30 against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

What’s inside
Low disclosure
PB 12/30 contains 12 active probiotic ingredients — a mix of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus species, both friendly bacteria that live in the gut. The Bifidobacterium group includes B. longum, B. infantis, and B. bifidum.
The Lactobacillus group includes L. acidophilus, L. paracasei, L. brevis, L. bulgaricus, L. salivarius, L. plantarum, L. rhamnosus, and L. casei. The inactive ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose (a binder), a vegetable capsule, L-leucine, and silicon dioxide.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for most conditions isn't established yet. Bifidobacterium bifidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus are rated possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and some other conditions — L. acidophilus also shows possibly effective evidence for antibiotic-associated diarrhea, H. pylori, and bacterial vaginosis.
For the other bacteria in this blend and most other health claims, the data we hold shows insufficient reliable evidence to rate them.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy people, though those with weakened immune systems should be cautious. Rarely, people have reported mild gastrointestinal side effects like abdominal discomfort, bloating, flatulence, and constipation — and in very rare cases, serious infections in critically ill or immune-compromised patients.
Bifidobacterium bifidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus are rated possibly safe in pregnancy; for Lactobacillus bulgaricus, the data notes that probiotic supplements in pregnancy aren't well studied, so talk with your doctor. Limited data exist for breastfeeding, so check with your healthcare provider first.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Antibiotic drugs are the key medication type to check before taking this product — they're rated Moderate-severity interactions with at least four of the probiotic strains in PB 12/30. If you're on antibiotics, ask your doctor or pharmacist about timing: they may want you to separate when you take them from when you take the probiotic.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
PB 12/30 is a multi-strain probiotic aimed at gut health — particularly IBS — though evidence for most of its ingredients is still thin. The main concern is taking it with antibiotics: space them apart so the antibiotics don't kill off the live bacteria.
If you take any medications, check them against the list on this page before you start, and talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist, especially if you're seriously ill, immunocompromised, pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Formula
Aging, stress, poor diet, x-rays, alcohol, and many other frequently encountered substances can deplete the probiotic cultures that inhabit the human gut. Such depletion can lead to gas, bloating, occasional constipation, and poor digestion. PG 12/30 combines 12 probiotic strains (at least 30 billion active cultures per capsule) to replace these lost cultures. It is one of the most advanced daily probiotics ever offered.
For Men and Women Ages 16-39
