What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Peak Joints against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Peak Joints by Peak Biome
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Peak Joints contains four active ingredients in a proprietary blend: methylsulfonylmethane, hyaluronic acid, cetyl myristoleate, and Boswellia serrata gum extract. The product also contains two inactive ingredients — hypromellose and brown rice flour — which are fillers and binders.
Boswellia serrata is a plant resin traditionally used for joint support. Hyaluronic acid is a compound found naturally in your body that's used in this formula, and methylsulfonylmethane and cetyl myristoleate round out the joint-support profile.
Because the amounts of each ingredient aren't listed separately, we can't tell you the exact dose of any single component.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The data we hold shows Boswellia serrata is possibly effective for osteoarthritis, the most common type of joint wear-and-tear. Hyaluronic acid is possibly effective for dry eye and venous leg ulcers (slow-healing sores on the legs from circulation problems), but the evidence for its use in aging skin, hay fever, and sexual dysfunction isn't reliable enough to rate.
For methylsulfonylmethane and cetyl myristoleate, we don't have effectiveness ratings in our data, so we can't tell you what the evidence shows for those ingredients or their specific roles in this joint product.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Boswellia serrata is generally well tolerated when taken by mouth short-term, though quality and doses vary widely between products. The most common side effects are abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache, heartburn, itching, and nausea.
A small number of people reported dizziness and vertigo in studies. Rarely, very large amounts of Boswellia gum can form a bezoar (a blockage in your stomach).
Hyaluronic acid taken by mouth appears to be well tolerated, though long-term safety of oral supplements isn't fully studied. The data advises caution and notes there isn't enough safety information for oral use unless your doctor recommends it.
There is no safety data on file for methylsulfonylmethane or cetyl myristoleate. Boswellia is not advised during pregnancy or while breastfeeding because safety data is insufficient.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check these medication types with your pharmacist before taking Peak Joints: CYP3A4 substrates (a large group that includes some heart medications, statins, and others), CYP2D6 substrates, CYP2C19 substrates, CYP1A2 substrates, CYP2C9 substrates, and immunosuppressants. These are affected by Boswellia serrata, the ingredient most likely to interact with your drugs.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Peak Joints may interest you if you're looking for joint support and osteoarthritis is your main concern — Boswellia has some evidence behind it for that. If you take any prescription medications, especially those processed by your liver, you need to check them against this product first because of Boswellia's interactions.
Talk to your pharmacist before starting, especially if you're on immunosuppressants or any regular prescription.

Peak Joints by Peak Biome Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Peak Joints by Peak Biome contains Boswellia serrata gum extract, which interacts with a notable number of medications through effects on how your liver breaks down drugs.
The most serious concern is with CYP3A4 substrates — a large category that includes many common medications — where Boswellia may increase or decrease drug levels unpredictably.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Moderate interactions are also documented with four other liver enzyme systems: CYP2D6, CYP2C19, CYP1A2, and CYP2C9 substrates. Boswellia theoretically increases levels of drugs metabolized by these pathways, which could make them stronger in your body.
Additionally, Boswellia may alter how immunosuppressive medications work, which matters if you take them for autoimmune conditions or after a transplant.
We couldn't check two ingredients in this product — methylsulfonylmethane and cetyl myristoleate — because we hold no interaction data for them. Hyaluronic acid, also in the blend, has no documented interactions.
Altogether, these interactions span 939 individual medications. Before you start Peak Joints, use the medication checker below to see if any of your prescriptions are affected.

Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, Boswellia serrata might alter the effects of immunosuppressive drugs.
Some in vitro research suggests that Boswellia serrata extracts might inhibit mediators of autoimmune disorders such as leukotrienes and reduce production of antibodies and cell-mediated immunity. However, other in vitro research suggests that, when coupled with calcium ions, boswellic acids containing the keto group have immunostimulant properties within specific cell signaling pathways.
