The tablet also includes inactive ingredients like microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, pectin, stearic acid, sodium carbonate, guar gum, and turmeric as fillers and binders to hold the pill together.
Does it work?

The evidence for this product varies by ingredient and condition. L. acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
B. bifidum is possibly effective for IBS and respiratory tract infections. For other conditions listed—allergic rhinitis, anxiety, cognitive decline, asthma, and athletic performance—the evidence we hold is insufficient to rate these probiotics.
Fructooligosaccharides also lacks sufficient evidence for osteoporosis, constipation, diabetes, travelers' diarrhea, and high cholesterol. If you're considering this product for a specific condition, talk with your doctor about what the current evidence supports.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The probiotics in PearlBiotic Spheres are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal—bloating, flatulence, abdominal pain, and gas, especially when you first start or if you take higher doses.
These tend to be mild, and one analysis of clinical trials showed that fructooligosaccharides at typical doses did not increase these symptoms more than a placebo. People with weakened immune systems or serious illness should be cautious, as rare cases of probiotic-related infections have been reported in critically ill patients.
For pregnancy, L. acidophilus and both Bifidobacterium strains are rated possibly safe. Lactation data aren't on file for most ingredients, so check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this while breastfeeding.
Supplement-level doses of fructooligosaccharides haven't been well studied, so professional guidance is advised.

Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium. bifidum with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. bifidum.
Since B. bifidum preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. bifidum preparations by at least 2 hours.
B. longum

Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium longum with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. longum.
