What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Probiotic-10 100 Billion against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

What’s inside
Low disclosure
This product contains ten active probiotic bacterial strains: Lactobacillus acidophilus La-14, Bifidobacterium breve Bb-03, Lactobacillus rhamnosus LR-32, Bifidobacterium longum Bl-05, Bifidobacterium lactis BI-04, Streptococcus thermophilus ST-21, Lactobacillus plantarum Lp-115, Lacticaseibacillus casei Lc-11, Lacticaseibacillus paracasei Lpc-37, and Lactobacillus salivarius Ls-33. Each strain is a live organism meant to support your gut flora.
The inactive ingredients are hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, fructooligosaccharides, ascorbyl palmitate, and silicon dioxide.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for these strains is mixed and often limited. Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
Lacticaseibacillus paracasei is possibly effective for atopic dermatitis (eczema) and allergic rhinitis (hay fever). Most other conditions in the trials—including anxiety, asthma, constipation, depression, diabetes, and liver disease—either showed insufficient reliable evidence or possibly ineffective results.
The data we hold doesn't establish clear benefit for most uses, so talk with your doctor about whether this blend makes sense for your particular reason.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. The main safety concern is that live bacterial preparations can theoretically cause infection in people with weakened immune systems, serious illness, or indwelling catheters—rare cases of bacteremia (bacteria in the bloodstream), sepsis, and other infections have been reported, mostly in critically ill or very young patients.
Orally, mild and uncommon gastrointestinal side effects like abdominal discomfort, bloating, flatulence, and diarrhea may occur. Pregnancy is rated Possibly Safe for most ingredients we checked; Lactobacillus acidophilus notes data are limited, and Bifidobacterium longum and Lacticaseibacillus paracasei are rated Possibly Safe for both pregnancy and lactation.
For the three strains we couldn't check, safety data isn't on file.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check with your pharmacist if you're on antibiotic drugs. Since five of the ten strains interact with antibiotics (Moderate severity), separating the timing of your doses is important to keep the probiotics working.
No other medication types show documented interactions with the ingredients we could check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This ten-strain blend may be worth considering if you're interested in supporting gut health, especially if you have irritable bowel syndrome, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, or certain allergic conditions—though the evidence is modest. Be cautious if you're seriously ill, immunocompromised, or have indwelling catheters, and separate doses from antibiotics by a few hours.
Talk to your pharmacist before starting, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have ongoing health concerns.

Probiotic-10 100 Billion by NOW Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Probiotic-10 100 Billion by NOW contains ten bacterial strains, six of which we could check for interactions.
The most serious concern is with antibiotic drugs — a Moderate severity interaction shared across five of the checked ingredients (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium longum, Lacticaseibacillus casei, and Lacticaseibacillus paracasei). Since these probiotics contain live organisms, taking them at the same time as antibiotics may kill off a significant number of the beneficial bacteria, making the probiotic less effective.
The simple fix is to space them apart—talk to your pharmacist about the right timing for your specific antibiotic.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Streptococcus thermophilus, one of the ten strains, has no known interactions documented in our data. We could not check three other ingredients—Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium lactis, and Lactobacillus salivarius—because we don't hold interaction data for them.
Additionally, search your exact medications using the checker on this page to be sure nothing else applies to you.
