Probiotic EasySticks Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Probiotic EasySticks against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Probiotic EasySticks by Pure Encapsulations
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Probiotic EasySticks contains 11 ingredients, including eight species of live bacteria (Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus strains) and Galactooligosaccharides, a carbohydrate that can act as food for beneficial bacteria. There are no inactive ingredients listed.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for these bacterial strains is mixed. Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum show possibly effective evidence for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Lactobacillus acidophilus is also possibly effective for Helicobacter pylori, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis. Bifidobacterium bifidum is possibly effective for respiratory tract infections.
For the other conditions listed — including age-related cognitive decline, hay fever, asthma, anxiety, and others — the evidence is insufficient to rate, or in a few cases possibly ineffective. The other bacterial strains in this product have not been rated for these conditions in our data.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The probiotics in this product are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. However, caution is advised for people who are seriously ill, immune-compromised, or critically ill — there have been rare cases of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus bacteremia (bacteria entering the bloodstream) in these populations, sometimes presenting as sepsis, particularly in preterm infants.
Orally, uncommon gastrointestinal side effects have been reported, including abdominal discomfort, pain, bloating, flatulence, and rarely constipation or diarrhea. One patient reported a dry cough.
For pregnancy and lactation, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum are rated possibly safe, but limited data exist for Bifidobacterium longum and Bifidobacterium breve — discuss with your doctor or pharmacist before use while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take antibiotic drugs, check your exact medication on this page before using this product. The live bacteria in Probiotic EasySticks can be killed by antibiotics if taken at the same time, reducing the probiotic's benefit — spacing them apart is recommended.
Your pharmacist or doctor can advise you on the best timing.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Probiotic EasySticks may be worth considering if you have IBS, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, or bacterial vaginosis, though evidence is still building. If you take antibiotics, you'll need to separate them from this product.
Anyone with a weakened immune system, critical illness, or who is very young should check with their doctor first. Talk it over with your own doctor or pharmacist before starting, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any serious health concerns.

Probiotic EasySticks by Pure Encapsulations Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Probiotic EasySticks by Pure Encapsulations contains several bacterial strains — Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium breve, and Bifidobacterium bifidum — that interact with antibiotic drugs.
All four of these species have a Moderate interaction with antibiotics: since probiotics contain live organisms, taking antibiotics at the same time may kill many of them and reduce the probiotic's effectiveness. The standard recommendation is to space them apart.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications.
We could not check several other ingredients in this product — Bifidobacterium lactis, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Galactooligosaccharides — because we hold no interaction data for them. That does not mean they don't interact; it means they haven't been checked in our system.
If you take antibiotics, use the medication checker on this page to confirm your exact drug before starting this probiotic. Your doctor or pharmacist can advise you on timing.
