Most of the live probiotic strains in this product are generally well tolerated in healthy adults, though safety data vary and product quality is not guaranteed. A few cautions: Fulvic acid should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient safety data.
The safety data on fermented goji during pregnancy advises against medicinal amounts because of limited safety information and traditional concerns. Citric acid in small food-supplement amounts is generally recognized as safe, but concentrated citrate supplements warrant a conversation with your doctor.
Rare but serious side effects have been reported with probiotics in critically ill or severely immunocompromised patients (bacteremia and sepsis), and probiotic strains can occasionally cause bloating, flatulence, diarrhea, or headache. Fermented prune may cause gastrointestinal effects like flatulence and diarrhea.

Other ingredients interact with multiple drug types. Fulvic acid theoretically may decrease the effectiveness of blood thinners (anticoagulants) and blood-clotting drugs (antiplatelet agents), and may also interfere with immunosuppressant and thyroid hormone therapy.
Fermented prune (plum) may have antiplatelet effects and could increase bruising or bleeding if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs. Several probiotic strains—Bacillus coagulans, Bifidobacterium breve (in two forms), Lactobacillus helveticus (in two forms), and Bifidobacterium longum—interact with antibiotic drugs; antibiotics can theoretically kill the live organisms, reducing the probiotic's effectiveness, so these should be separated by several hours.
Goji berry also interacts with several other drug types: liver enzymes (cytochrome P450 2C9, 2C19, 2D6, and 3A4 substrates), the heart rhythm drug flecainide, antihypertensive (blood pressure) drugs, and antidiabetes drugs. Altogether, these interactions span 1,393 individual medications.

Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
