Regenesis is a 6-ingredient probiotic capsule. The active ingredients are six probiotic bacterial strains: Lactobacillus salivarius, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus gasseri, and Lactobacillus acidophilus.
These are live microorganisms meant to support gut health. The inactive ingredients are brown rice flour, gelatin, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, and water — these are excipients that form and stabilize the capsule.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for these probiotics is mixed. Bifidobacterium bifidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus are both possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Lactobacillus acidophilus is also possibly effective for Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis. Bifidobacterium bifidum shows possibly effective evidence for respiratory tract infections as well.
For most other conditions — hay fever, asthma, common cold, diarrhea, and several others — the evidence isn't established, meaning we don't have enough reliable data to say whether these probiotics work or don't.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children, though the safety data are limited. People with weakened immune systems should be cautious, and you should check with your doctor before starting, especially if you have a compromised immune system or serious underlying illness.
Gastrointestinal side effects like bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, and rarely vomiting or diarrhea have been reported with probiotic use, though these are uncommon. Bifidobacterium bifidum is possibly safe in pregnancy; however, we don't have enough data on Lactobacillus gasseri or the other strains to know whether they're safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding — talk to your doctor or pharmacist for personalized guidance on that.

Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
