The Perfect Probiotic Formula Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Bronson Laboratories
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking The Perfect Probiotic Formula against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of The Perfect Probiotic Formula by Bronson Laboratories
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This formula contains 9 active ingredients: four Bifidobacterium species (B. breve, B. bifidum, B. infantis, and B. longum), three Lactobacillus species (L. rhamnosus, L. gasseri), and one proprietary blend that holds additional bacterial strains. All are live probiotic bacteria designed to support your gut flora.
The inactive ingredients—gelatin, microcrystalline cellulose, and silica—are just the capsule and filler material that holds everything together.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
B. bifidum is rated possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and respiratory tract infections. The other ingredients in this formula don't have strong evidence backing specific uses: they're rated either possibly ineffective (B. breve for age-related cognitive decline and sepsis) or insufficient evidence to rate (most other conditions tested, including antibiotic-associated diarrhea, hay fever, and asthma).
The evidence we hold doesn't establish this formula for a particular condition, so talk with your doctor about what you're hoping it'll do for you.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy people. That said, the safety data are limited, so use this product only under your doctor's guidance—especially if you're very ill, immunocompromised, have a weakened immune system, or are in the hospital.
Rare side effects reported with probiotic use include bloating and flatulence, and in very rare cases—mostly in critically ill infants and adults—bacterial bloodstream infections (bacteremia) have occurred. B. bifidum is rated possibly safe in pregnancy; B. longum is also rated possibly safe in pregnancy and lactation.
We don't have pregnancy or lactation data on file for B. breve or L. gasseri, so ask your doctor or pharmacist before using while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
The main medication type to watch is antibiotics. Taking them at the same time as this probiotic will likely reduce how well the probiotic works—separate your doses by a few hours and confirm the timing with your pharmacist.
No other medication interactions are documented in our data for the ingredients we could check, but search your exact medications on this page to be sure.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This is a multi-strain probiotic that may help with IBS or respiratory infections, though most of its other uses aren't well proven. If you're on antibiotics, you'll need to space out your doses—don't take them together.
Healthy people generally tolerate it well, but if you're seriously ill, immunocompromised, or pregnant, check with your doctor first before starting.

The Perfect Probiotic Formula by Bronson Laboratories Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
The Perfect Probiotic Formula by Bronson Laboratories interacts with antibiotics through its B. breve, B. bifidum, L. gasseri, and B. longum content.
The interaction is Moderate in severity: taking antibiotics at the same time as this product might kill the live organisms in it, making the probiotic less effective. Because these are live bacteria, the antibiotics can wipe out a significant number of them before they colonize your gut.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
To avoid this, you'll want to space out your doses. Take your antibiotic at least a few hours apart from this probiotic — your doctor or pharmacist can give you the exact timing that works best for your situation.
Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications.
We could not check three other ingredients in this formula: B. lactis, L. rhamnosus, and B. infantis. If you're on any medications, run through the search tool on this page with your exact drugs to make sure nothing else applies.
And if you're taking an antibiotic right now, definitely touch base with your pharmacist before you start this probiotic.
