What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Ther-Biotic for Infants against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Ther-Biotic for Infants by Klaire Labs
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Ther-Biotic for Infants is a powder formula with 10 active ingredients, all of them live probiotic bacteria — species of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus — chosen to support infant gut health. These are "good" bacteria meant to help balance the natural flora in your baby's digestive tract.
The product contains no inactive ingredients or fillers.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The effectiveness of individual bacteria in this formula varies. Bifidobacterium bifidum shows possibly effective evidence for irritable bowel syndrome and respiratory tract infections.
For most of the other conditions the ingredient data covers — including allergic rhinitis, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, anxiety, asthma, and cognitive decline — the evidence we hold is insufficient to rate whether these bacteria work. Your pediatrician can help you decide whether this product is right for your infant's particular situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The probiotic bacteria in this formula are generally well tolerated in healthy infants, but caution is advised for babies who are very ill or have weakened immune systems — talk with your pediatrician before use if that applies. Rare but serious cases of bacterial bloodstream infection (bacteremia) related to Bifidobacterium species have been reported in critically ill or preterm infants using probiotics; in one reviewed study of hospitalized preterm and term infants given Bifidobacterium breve, bacteremia occurred in 2% of patients.
Milder side effects such as bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, or constipation have been reported rarely with probiotic use. Safety data are limited, so use this product only under your doctor's guidance.
Bifidobacterium longum is rated possibly safe in pregnancy and lactation; data for the other bacteria in this formula are either insufficient or not on file.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
The main medication concern is antibiotic drugs. If your infant is taking any antibiotic, separate doses of this probiotic from the antibiotic — your pediatrician or pharmacist can advise on the best timing to preserve the probiotic's benefit.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Ther-Biotic for Infants is a multi-strain probiotic powder designed for infants' digestive health. It's generally well tolerated in healthy babies but warrants caution in very ill or immunocompromised infants, and it interacts with antibiotics by potentially reducing probiotic effectiveness if dosed together.
Talk with your pediatrician before starting this product, especially if your baby is on or about to receive antibiotics or has any underlying illness.

Ther-Biotic for Infants by Klaire Labs Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Ther-Biotic for Infants by Klaire Labs contains several probiotic bacteria that interact with antibiotic drugs through its Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium bifidum, and Lactobacillus gasseri.
The interaction is Moderate in severity: since these products contain live organisms, taking antibiotics at the same time might kill a significant number of them and reduce the probiotic's effectiveness.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Additionally, we could not check several other ingredients in this formula — Bifidobacterium infantis, Lactobacillus paracasei, Bifidobacterium animalis lactis, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus salivarius, and Lactobacillus rhamnosus — because we hold no interaction data for them.
Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications. If your infant is on or about to start antibiotics, talk with your pediatrician or pharmacist about timing: separating doses of this probiotic and any antibiotic may help preserve the probiotic's benefit.
