Acacia Rigidula + Bazedoxifene Acetate, Conjugated Estrogens
Bazedoxifene Acetate, Conjugated Estrogens brand name: Duavee.
Acacia Rigidula has a moderate interaction with Bazedoxifene Acetate, Conjugated Estrogens. Theoretically, Acacia rigidula products that are adulterated with beta-methylphenylethylamine (BMPEA) might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Bazedoxifene Acetate, Conjugated Estrogens
Bazedoxifene Acetate, Conjugated Estrogens falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Acacia Rigidula interacts with.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA, an adulterant found in many Acacia rigidula products, inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme by 37%.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the situation with Duavee (conjugated estrogens with bazedoxifene). Both of these hormones get processed by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Some Acacia rigidula products have been found to contain a hidden stimulant called BMPEA, and in lab testing that compound slowed down CYP3A4 by about a third. If that holds true in people, your body could clear Duavee a little more slowly, letting estrogen levels build up. That could mean more estrogen-related effects like breast tenderness, bloating, nausea, or spotting.
I want to be honest though: this is only based on test-tube data, not real human studies, so it's theoretical. The bigger concern with Acacia rigidula is that it may be adulterated at all. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

About Acacia Rigidula
What is Acacia Rigidula?
- Weight loss
- Energy and stimulation
- Boosting metabolism
- Appetite control
- Pre-workout/athletic performance
Acacia rigidula is a shrub from Texas and Mexico that is marketed in weight-loss and energy supplements. There is very little reliable human evidence that it works, and some products have been found to contain an unapproved stimulant drug (BMPEA), which raises real safety concerns. Most people should avoid it and talk to a pharmacist or doctor before trying any product containing it.
About Estrogen and Bazedoxifene
What Is Estrogen and Bazedoxifene Used For?
Brand name: Duavee
-
Estrogen and bazedoxifene tablets are used to treat hot flashes (sudden feelings of warmth, especially in the face, neck, and chest) in women who are experiencing menopause (stage of life when menstrual periods become less frequent and stop and women may experience other symptoms and body changes). Estrogen and bazedoxifene tablets are also used to prevent osteoporosis (condition in which the bones become thin and weak and break easily) in women who have undergone menopause. Estrogen is in a class of medications called hormones and bazedoxifene is in a class of medications called estrogen agonist–antagonists. Estrogen works by replacing estrogen that is normally produced by the body. Bazedoxifene is used to block the action of estrogen on the lining of the uterus, decreasing the risk of overgrowth that may lead to cancer.
