Dexchlorpheniramine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Acacia Rigidula interacts with.

Theoretically, Acacia rigidula products that are adulterated with beta-methylphenylethylamine (BMPEA) might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA, an adulterant found in many Acacia rigidula products, inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme by 37%.

Here's the gist for dexchlorpheniramine (Polaramine). Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear this antihistamine. Some Acacia rigidula products are spiked with a stimulant called BMPEA, and lab testing suggests BMPEA can slow that enzyme down a bit. If it does, dexchlorpheniramine could linger longer in your body, which may turn up its usual side effects like drowsiness, dry mouth, blurry vision, or feeling foggy.

I'll be honest though, this is theoretical and only comes from test-tube research, so we don't know if it really matters in people. There's also a stimulant-plus-sedating-antihistamine mismatch worth noting. Before combining these, please check with your pharmacist or doctor.

Chlorpheniramine is used to temporarily relieve common allergy symptoms caused by hay fever (allergic rhinitis) or other upper respiratory allergies. These include runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the nose or throat.

These uses are supported across multiple products — including tablets (such as Aller-chlor, Allergy, Allergy Relief, Allergy Time, Anti Allergy, and Chlorpheniramine Maleate), extended-release tablets (Allergy Relief and Chlorphen-12), the oral solution Ed Chlorped Jr, and the inhalers ClorRelief and ClorRelief KIDs.
