Why this applies to Nebivolol

Nebivolol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Acacia Rigidula interacts with.

Theoretically, Acacia rigidula products that are adulterated with beta-methylphenylethylamine (BMPEA) might increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA, an adulterant found in many Acacia rigidula products, strongly inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme.

Here's the thing with Nebivolol (Bystolic): your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP2D6 to break it down and clear it out. Some Acacia rigidula products have been found spiked with a stimulant called BMPEA, and lab studies suggest BMPEA can strongly block that same enzyme. If it does, nebivolol could build up in your system more than expected.

What might that feel like? Possibly a heart rate that runs too slow, lightheadedness, fatigue, or blood pressure dropping lower than you'd want. I want to be honest though: this is theoretical, based only on test-tube research, not real patient cases. Still, on top of the general safety worries with these products, I'd run any Acacia rigidula supplement past your pharmacist or doctor first.
