Dulaglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Arabinoxylan interacts with.

Evidence from human research suggests that an arabinoxylan-rich fiber can reduce postprandial glucose levels. Theoretically, arabinoxylan might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs and increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the simple version: arabinoxylan is a fermentable fiber that can gently lower your blood sugar after meals by slowing digestion. Trulicity (dulaglutide) also lowers blood sugar, so using both together can stack those effects. The concern isn't that the fiber breaks down or builds up your medication, it works through a totally separate path. It's just that two blood-sugar-lowering helpers at once may push your numbers a little lower than expected.

On its own, dulaglutide rarely causes serious lows, but the risk goes up if you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea. Watch for shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy. The evidence here is modest, so don't panic, just keep an eye on your readings and check with your pharmacist or doctor before making any changes.

What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Trulicity

Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.
