Aspirin, Codeine Phosphate, Phenobarbital falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2B6 (CYP2B6) SUBSTRATES — the group Astaxanthin interacts with.

Theoretically, astaxanthin may decrease levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2B6.
In vitro research shows that astaxanthin induces cytochrome CYP2B6 enzyme activity in human hepatocytes. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for this combination product, which pairs aspirin, codeine, and phenobarbital. The only piece that ties into astaxanthin is the phenobarbital, since it's partly handled by a liver enzyme called CYP2B6. In a test-tube setting, astaxanthin seemed to speed up that enzyme, which could in theory lower phenobarbital levels and make it work a little less well (for example, less sedation or less seizure control if you take it for that reason).

I want to be straight with you though: this has only been seen in lab dishes, never in actual people. It's a theoretical concern at most. Still, phenobarbital is a drug where levels matter, so please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding astaxanthin rather than changing anything on your own.
