Bael + Vardenafil
Vardenafil brand names: Levitra, Staxyn.
Bael has a minor interaction with Vardenafil. Bael and its constituents marmelosin and marmesinin inhibited cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) activity in vitro.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Vardenafil
Vardenafil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Bael interacts with.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 include lovastatin (Mevacor), ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), fexofenadine (Allegra), triazolam (Halcion), and numerous others. Use bael cautiously or avoid in patients taking these drugs.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for Levitra (vardenafil): your body clears this drug using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In lab dishes, bael and a couple of its plant compounds slowed that enzyme down. If that same effect happened in people, vardenafil could hang around longer and hit a bit harder, meaning more chance of things like headache, flushing, a stuffy nose, dizziness, or lightheadedness when you stand up.
That said, I want to be honest with you: this is only a test-tube finding, and it has never been reported in real patients. So I'd call it a low-level, theoretical concern rather than something to lose sleep over. Still, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, just to be safe.

- ProbableInteraction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- PossibleInteraction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
- UnlikelyInteraction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Vardenafil page
“Vardenafil (Levitra, Staxyn), the erectile dysfunction pill, is broken down by a single liver enzyme, CYP3A4, and that one fact shapes most of this page. Supplements that block the enzyme, grapefruit being the best documented, can push vardenafil levels up and intensify its side effects, while St.”

About Bael
What is Bael?
- Diarrhea and dysentery
- Indigestion and other digestive complaints
- Constipation
- Blood sugar support
- General wellness in traditional medicine
Bael is a fruit-bearing tree long used in traditional Indian (Ayurvedic) medicine, mostly for digestive problems like diarrhea and indigestion. Modern human evidence for its medicinal benefits is very limited, so it should be viewed mainly as a food and traditional remedy rather than a proven treatment. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using bael as a supplement, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a health condition.
About Vardenafil
What Is Vardenafil Used For?
Brand names: Levitra, Staxyn
Vardenafil tablets and orally disintegrating tablets are both indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction — difficulty getting or keeping an erection firm enough for sex.
Sexual stimulation is required for vardenafil to work. It does not cause an erection on its own.
